ROSA PARKS

Rosa Parks didn't give up her seat on that December day 
The consequences were huge as the history books say
Why should she bow down and give in?
Just because of the colour of her skin?

Rosa was taken away and led to her arrest
Something which was wrong and I strongly detest 
Rosa later quite rightly became a national icon 
Those black and white segregation days have long since gone 

Rosa Parks is a lady I admire and respect 
Someone the world should never forget
