Rose

Rose

Why do people pick other flowers?
Waiting for it to be me for hours.
Making sure my leaves don't go any lower.
They always want Peony, Tulip, and May-flower.
Never Rose the Wallflower.

"She's a loser"
"No one will ever want her"

In a garden where we're united together,
Have experienced the same weather,
Other flowers are more treasured.
Just because their seeds from before birth were better.
Wishing I was another.
Not someone who wishes they didn't sprout in the summer.
Have to be plucked by someone has so much pressure.
Yet, why'd anyone do this gesture?
I have thorns that cause holes in people's fingers.
Hurts to hold, but you believe you're a winner.
Pretty exterior that you hunger.
But scared of the interior.
Damaged, broken, and has a barrier.
You tell me I'm forever alone, because I won't be your carrier.
Until I find someone, I'll always be Rose the Wallflower.
Plucked until when I'm the last flower.
A loner in a garden, where we were once united together.
