Rose

Rose

Lips as red as the petals,
Eyes green like the stem,
Face so pure and beautiful,
So caring and harmless looking,
But when you get close,
The petals fall,
Leaving only thorns,
They stab you with hateful words,
Cutting into you like a knife,
Hurting you until you fall,
Until you leave,
Once you do the petals go back up,
Waiting for another victim,
Sweet and hurtful like a rose
