Allow me
to place 
my foot
within the door
of your heart
to obstruct
it from closing

I know alot has
been said
alot of promises
made
without long term results

Yet to cease trying
is to say
all we have done
and gone through
in the end
did not mean a thing

I refuse to believe
this

We both agree
we love each
other
We both cherish
the story
we created

If the tower
to our relationship
crashes
I know the pieces
of my soul
will go up
in
flames
within the ruble

I don't know
the answers
I wish
the outside
burdens 
that oppresses

would be released

Then maybe
we can once
again concentrate
on one another

either way 
though

for it will

moistened

into
