The bleeding rose of tears

Fell upon her lover's white 

Like wounded petals of her passion felt.

She looked from above him a supreme at heart

As he lay  in his dying moments of his lover's tears.

Spattering bleeding drops of red upon 

a stillness sadly spread

like a red rose's life fell upon like rain to a white rose's death

That day the Red Rose cried
