Poem -
Rust + Nails
she is disgusting...
wizened eyes drawn black with lines
crepey skin, three wrinkly necks,
powder clogged in scattered flecks
age spots plain like rusty nails
used up lips too thin so pale
a sunlight cackles loud to say
youth like ships, away must sail
yet some perhaps of generous
heart
might say unique or... stand
apart...
might think her age a lovely thing
revere her as they would a king
not I though, I do not think this
those lips shall not again be kissed
her ugliness
is all I see
as mirror gifts her
back... to... me...
