Sacred Grounds

Suffering, wishing, and waiting for this all to end. My mother always said anything you want wishes to your command. Realizing that everything I wanted was a fantasy, but being in this very room was reality. I’ve always thought people changed, but turns out, I was wrong. Instead of getting home cooked meals, I get intense fluids that numb my body and I slowly fade away. I’m laying on the crippled floor, he always told me to never open the door. My toes curl every time they touch the ground. All of a sudden I hear this stepping sound, at that moment I knew he was coming. He opened the door gently and saw me laying there, holding my plush bear aggressively. He came closer and closer, the more he was walking towards me the less my heart was beating, he whispered in my ear’’ you’ll be mine till the end of time, don’t yell don’t cry, soon it’ll be your turn to say goodbye’’ He glared at me as he walked towards the door. He slowly shut the door and I knew it was time to escape. I stood up and started searching for ways to get out but all the windows were painted black, and hammered with nails. I tried getting the front door open but it’s locked with a moldy, greenish, blackish lock that can’t be broken. I turned to the left and saw a mysterious, murky, wooden door, I opened it and saw four girls sitting their in fear, they were all bruised and filled with dread. Tears flooded down their faces like a waterfall in the Amazonian river. The walls were cracked with holes and water fluttering out of them. I asked them who they were and they said I’m Devon Mauldinā€ she had velvety long blond hair and blue eyes that can turn heads. ā€˜ā€˜I’m Annalise Smith’’ she had soft long brown hair and edgy cat green eyes. ā€˜ā€˜I’m Catelynn Robertson’’ she had long gorgeous brown hair and innocent hazel eyes, you’ll never suspect her of anything. ā€˜ā€˜And I’m Destini Moreno’’ she had long, flowy brown hair and beautiful brown eyes, its impossible not to stare. I pulled them out and they realized they weren’t the only ones, being trapped in the darkness. We realized that we had to escape, but we’re not leaving without a fight. The estranged man was sleeping, we walked towards the forbidden door and broke the desolate lock that held the key to survival. We slowly opened the door, our hearts start to beat faster and faster, my fingers got numbed and chilled. I walked up to his bed, covered his mouth with duck tape, and tied him up with the gripping, lengthy, rope. Devon and Catelynn gave him the intense fluids and dragged him into the cellar, thats where he takes us and torture us, he would always bring terror in our eyes, it gave him a wonderful surprise. The cellar was frozen, darkened, and merciful. He woke up and started screaming, it gave us pleasure. Annalise grabbed the special toolbox just for him, he would always use it on us. She opened it up and saw the sharp knives, it has a 12inch blade that could slice anyone who deserves it. We each took one and I got this thrive to slice his throat. I slit his throat and the darkened red blood flushed out like a great white shark biting a chunk of flesh from a baby seal. We all joined in and started stabbing him until we couldn’t take no more. Blood was flying everywhere and there was no stopping us. We dropped all of our knives and busted one of the crooked windows and jumped out. We were racing towards the tall green grass. We made a pact to never tell anyone, our hearts will forever be forbidden and sacred. We became sisters and our hearts became one. We held hands and shouted ā€˜ā€˜we hold the power, resistance, and spirits of all of us. We treasure our hearts until forever meets. Rest in peace Tom!’’
