Sad eyes

I thought about how I would tell my daughter about her father.
I then looked at her,
and said,
your Dad won't be coming home.
When he was at war, a bomb was thrown.
She then looked at me with sad eyes,
then came the cries.
Why? Why? Is all she kept saying.
When I passed her room that night, I heard her praying.
God I haven't been bad,
please take care of my Dad.
I know he isn't coming home.
He's up there with you,
where the angels roam.

Hi Miranda,
These poor children. Innocent victims of mankind's gluttony. Young men dying. Their children crying. Young Mothers weeping for their children's good safekeeping. Daddy won't be coming home; he's up in the blue skies. Please know how much he loves you, and dry your tearsoaked eyes. Know that one day you'll be reunited, in the Firmaments above, and he's waiting and so excited, to again have your pure love. Great and heartfelt write. Welcome to Cosmo.
Peace and Love,
xox Larry
That was absolutely beautiful! This is not a personal experience, this came to me one night while laying in bed. I was thinking about my military family and it just poured out. Thank you so much for your kind words, and support! <3
Thank you so much! This is not a personal experience, but it is all too real for a lot of families. A lot of my family is Military, and thankfully they are all here with us. That's what inspired me to write this piece.
