Sadness In Their Eyes

 Dedicated to those animals in puppy mills

I can only imagine how it feels to be locked in a cage
With no food no water no one who will care
I do know that I'm in an out rage
Because I don't know what to do but stare
I feel so helpless so confused
How one can not have feeling in their heart
Just on how much money they can make
It just makes me want to cry and fall apart
They honestly have no clue on what is at stake
That these animals suffer so horribly
These people don't care if they die
These people don't care the animals hurt miserably
They don't even notice the sadness in thier eyes
All they want is to sell sell sell  
And see all the grean
All they want is the money
They don't see on how this is mean
Well I'm here for you precious animals 
I'm here to tell
That puppy mills are cruel and deadly
So please I ask....no I beg for you to listen to me 
Help shut them down
Because these cats,puppies, all animals
Don't have a voice
Not one of their own
So please help me set them free
Since they can't make thier own choice
They will only suffer even die
If we let them be
Help me ask why
Help me make them see
Don't keep me sitting here as I cry
Try to imagen yourself in their paws in their place
Wishing all this pain just would go away
Just disappear
See the sadness in thier eyes the tears on thier face
Everynight they deal with a fear
That we can not feel
Wondering will they live through the night
Wondering if their heart will ever heal
Or even if they will even see the sun the next day
Wondering if this cage will be their last sight
All small can't move around
Full of urine or number two
Sleeping on such a cold ground
Shivering as they are sleeping
When they wake in heaven they are found
Realizing their buddy is left behind
To fend for theirself
Watching as the man drinks a glass of water
And puts it back on the shelf
With not even a glance into the animals eyes
With no heart that belongs in the guys  chest
A heart hard as stone
Or even one single shed of a tear
As he takes the pups friend out of the cage
The one that never woke up from his rest
Not hearing the animal cry
Praying to God he's not the next to go
Thiking that this is a test
A better life he wants to know
Praying that someone soon will come to save him
From this place of hell
Praying someone who cares will show
Praying he won't have to die
For people to hear on what he has to tell
Praying he has another day to grow
Praying today he doesn't again cry
Praying to the lord above
Someone will see the sadness in his eyes
Praying for someone to love
