Sailboat

Sailboat

From left to right
Wind with the sails
You always come to me
Your love never fails.

When I'm surrounded by ocean
I turn and look to see you
When the worlds closing
You're right next to me.

We could be different
In a parallel world
Choices begin to change
We hold our futures in our hands
Fingers curled
It no longer seems strange.

Across the sea
You head out for me
A whispered word
My voice is heard
Just a single whisper
Sail,
Sail to me.

I wake up every morning
With a hole in my heart
With heart to heart
Comes soul with soul
We sail right where we began
Back to the start
But with you and I
Everlasting.

There were cracks in the wood
Holes in your sails
But there i stood
And fixed you up
Chipped broken nails
"you wont ever sink again
I promise."

You're my sailboat
You let me explore
You always bring me back to shore
But now ropes hang at my throat
Anchor tied to my leg
"I wont let you sink again."

I fell under
Masked by water
you can rest now
you did all you could.
