Salted Wounds

Salted Wounds

Do you miss the memory or the person?

Once they are gone, the cherished photo your heart has taken, remains long after ashes turn to the awaiting earth.

Yet, there will always be an underlying ache and impotent release of emptiness felt from deep within your soul.

Nothing imagined or possessed could ever heal such wound.

An eternity could pass and the blood that had once spilled upon such a tragedy found, unchanged by time, pain, thought, essence...

will forever haunt.
