Salvation

Salvation

Salvation

I need salvation for this heart of mine
But I feel that I’m running out of time

The sunlight always reveals the truth
Different from when I was in my youth

The pouring rain streams down my face
I think we need a prayer in this place

Love please don’t do me wrong
My broken heart sings a sad song

I pray to the Lord teach me to fly
I swear that my heart will always try

Lord let me finally feel the power of love
Let angels gently guide me from above

Save me drowning in the hopeless sea
Give me love and then set me free

Cross the burning sands of time
Let all that I desire now be mine

Take all the rain from stormy skies
Don’t allow your heart to say goodbye

Say that in spirit you will never have to part
Crossing all boundaries’ of my aching heart

Save me from a sea of broken hearts
Why do me and love seem worlds apart

Bring me love across the desert sands
Let love take me by the lonesome hand

Take this golden key and unlock my heart
Allowing all good intentions to finally start

Bring love to me like a blossoming rose
Running to my heart as the river flows
