Salvation

Salvation

On this particular cold night

Rushing past the moor

Along the cobble stones

Cold in this grey jacket

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alas, I have come upon ye
With beggar hands
Stretched towards me
"Please master a coin"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I seek inside my pocket

To find non besides

Instead offering a prayer

For the Lord to take you in

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He who is seeking salvation
Upon these cold steps
This bitter plague bringing
The beggar to the Inn
