Salvation is Yours

Salvation is Yours
I have finally found my salvation
In amongst the bones of deprivation
And I have finally found my grace
In a high and mountainous place
In a field of wildflowers I lay down with my dreams
I grew tired of my hopes being torn at the seams
My salvation lies before me like an open field
Offering me all that this life has to yield
No longer does a dark shadow inhabit my life
For once I am happy and feeling free of strife
All of the birds sing their enchanted song
Seems all I ever really wanted was to belong
A field of wildflowers all in full bloom
Their succulent scent fills my empty room
As I wash away all of the tears that I’ve cried
I rid my sacred garden of weeds and lies
No more dealing with ghosts of the past
I am free of those dreaded chains at last
Again, I eventually found myself
Upon a tired, old and dusty shelf
I can almost taste freedom, it is so near
I also no longer feel the need to live in fear
The north wind blowing against the ocean shore
Now I am content and no longer wanting more
The ocean tides have turned in my favour
From now on the precious moments I will savour
Oh the glory it would be just to sail free
Well he opened my eyes and now I can see
He gently whispered to me, that salvation is yours
Your freedom is upon the wings of an eagle as he soars
I found peace on my journey home
So the world I no longer have to roam
