Saved By My Angel

Saved By My Angel

It was Helen who saved me
from a
live on the
streets
Six weeks I'd
sleep alone on
the streets
To feel
sense of failure
shame you feel
Waking 2am freezing cold wet from rain during the night
The only way to try get warm Is to walk but hungry struggling with the cold finding this difficult
Passing houses
on the wet streets no street lights family's
sleep safe in their
comfortable warm
beds
Endlessly walking waiting for the  light of the day to appear In hope someone will spare change so I could get a drink
I've lived that life of the streets 6 weeks some people spend years It was my Angel, my wife Helen who saved me from that existence the fear of life on the streets
