SAYING GOODBYE TO A CAT

Have you ever said goodbye to a cat ?
I've been told by friends it's not as simple as that
They always crave attention by wanting more
With pleading eyes they scurry across the kitchen floor

The fur of a cat is soft to the touch
They enjoy their milk so very much
Always getting into scrapes and has nine lives
Appeal to all from the very young to housewives

Saying goodbye to a cat then is a hard thing to do
I've never had a cat but know this to be true
