Scammed

Scammed

(2014)

My girlfriend convinced
me to buy a cell phone.
The smart phone
is reallly a small
palm computer.

When teaching in Newark,
a student broke in my room
during lunch and stole it.
By crazy luck,
I was able to get it back
thanks to security cameras
catching the culprit.

I decided to sell the phone
on E-bay and
someone in San Francisco
wanted it.

I sold my $700 phone for $500.
When I received
the Pay Pal receipt
via e-mail,
I sent the phone
via U.P.S.

When I logged into Pay Pal
to collect my money,
I was told their was no
transaction according to
the account number.
Pay Pal informed me I had
been tricked by a scammer.

The receipt was looked
EXACTLY
as Pay Pal Receipts look,
but I should have called
to confirm
the receipt
number first.

If I had done this,
I would not have
lost $500.

It was a $500 lesson.
I hope the scammer
gets brain cancer
from my cell phone.
