Isn't it crazy how one taste,

just one smell,

maybe even just one touch,

can bring all the memories back.

I want my mind to forget,

but it is like reopening an old cut

and pouring salt into the wound.

As much as I want to heal

and let go

There will always be

a scar on my heart.
