Scared of Dying

Drama, sadness, sickness, death

So much time spent, there's no time left

Quick priest forgive me please

Put my struggling soul at ease 

I've lived a life that I regret 

Came with a plan, how did I forget?

Now I am here on my last breaths

So scared of dying I must confess

I wish that all the time I spent

Was more than just a compliment

"You've done well, worked hard all your life"

"Brought up 5 kids and a lovely wife"

It sounds great what I have to show

I never enjoyed a moment though

As past and future plagued my mind

I went through life like the blind

Never to see a moment pass

Always thinking about the last

I wish I could reverse the wheel

Where's the devil I'll make a deal

Just save me from my rotting corpse

Salvation from these clotting thoughts 

Isn't it ironic that I'm scared to death

At a time when there is nothing left

It's time for me to say good bye 

I never lived a day, but now I die

Don't waist time, remove the mask

Forget about your future and your past

Enjoy now, for that's all there is

Fill your life full of positives

Stand up when others sit down

Share insight that you have found

Expand your mind beyond belief

Do not succumb to pain and grief 

Focus on that which you love

Reach for the stars in the sky's above

Tread where no man has trod before

Travel the world, it is yours to explore

Send a message worth its while

When others frown make sure you smile

bring light to the darkest parts

Sweep love into the loveless hearts
