Scars

Scars

Mental pain far too deep
No need for physical scars
Pain building a home in my heart and mind.
Making me want to scratch it away.

physical scars are not needed
yet, they are the best medicine.
Through everything, they are there.
Staring right back at me.
Nagging at me to bring their friends.

The scars holding more value,
than any emotional support.
Mind lost in its own whirlwind.
Wanting to stay in the darkness.

Yet, the scars are what has helped me through the toughest of times.
No-one else has ever been able to take their place.

That's so sad, mental health is a terrible thing OT, there are limitless pits each with its own personal horror. You've described it well.in your writing ?
