SCOTLAND YARD 1952

The year 1952 in the heart of London's East End
To the home of Mrs Morris the law did attend
Mr Morris lying dead on the untidy kitchen floor
A nasty sight to see when they opened the door

Mrs Morris was there crying needless to say
Who killed her husband on this cold winter's day
The room would be searched for prints and clues
For this death would be making all the news

"This is a case for Scotland Yard" the copper said
Mrs Morris still crying longing for her bed
So many questions for her in the days ahead
Not everyday that you find your husband dead

Scotland Yard will find the killer they always do
So many lines of enquiry they would persue
A painstaking task that much is so very true
Remember computers weren't around in 1952
