Poem -

The Sea

something

something

i cannot say.

nothing

nothing

i can do.

oh how the earth loved the sea,

that halfway they would meet,

and the earth sank to its feet.

And I feel like the earth;

drowning in the sea;

for the sea is vivacious

and vicious

and vehement.

And I am so weak

that I crumble to sand,

and lie in its wake.

And my bones ache,

my voice starts to quake,

my soul starts to break,

my eyes richer than a lake,

and i need silence and warmth.

because i only feel cold.

Everything

Everything

I need from you-

the sea.

AUTHOR WILLIAMS...

Dear Gina Marie, Good write. Thanks for sharing the below lines. In literature, Earth is female, Sea too...

my voice starts to quake,

my soul starts to break,

my eyes richer than a lake,

and i need silence and warmth.

Regards

Thank you! I didn't know that, interesting though. I feel it gives the poem depth. More heart.

Sure, your poem is fabulous, as a Poetess, you may symbolize anything for that moment, like " Rising Sun is like head of the family going for work " After work he takes rest which is dusk...etc. there are lot of such concepts...Regards
