Seandainya...
(Supposing it were true...)

If I had a home on earth
I'd burn insense at a daily shrine
I'd wake up early and make the morning ours and mine
I'd pat the stones in its sand
And feel them in my warming hands
Thanking God for all the mystery
And honouring the gift of time
If I had a home on earth
I'd soak lentils in my kitchen
I'd eat a healthy breakfast too
Full of the best nutrition
I'd pick fresh herbs from out of pots
And save the scraps for our compost
If I had a home on earth
I'd feed the birds outside
And kneel before the weeds or prune
And plant some seeds by sun and moon
I'd read a novel on a Saturday at dawn
Or make up scrapbooks from the days since you were born
If I had a home on earth
I'd have you sleep in a pirate ship
We'd play boardgames and jump rope
Well, if you weren't too proud I'd hope
I'd buy you a trampoline like the one I had your age
And a skateboard ramp to let out all that teenage rage
If I had a home on earth you'd get a keyboard synthesizer
And a library to make you wiser
Or perhaps an electronic drum kit
On silent mode while your nana 'd knit
I wish all these things we had on earth
But most of all...
Upon this earth
I just wish I had you
For what it's worth
