Searching for silence 🄲

Searching for silence 🄲

Amidst my head is a din and a rattle...I search for a silence to conquer this battle

Alas my masking is making it worse...I seek out a savior but there is no nurse

So noone to switch off this sound in my head...as I lie lost in confusion cursed on my bed

Can this constant clattering really be from my brain ?..I wander through corridors coz nighttime is a pain

That tick with that tin when blackness brings blight...My regularity and forevermore fight...

What on earth is ā€˜Tinnitus’ ? and will it ever go ?..I ask the Doctor but he does not know !!!

So as I search for a silence from an unsufferable sound...betwixt my bedroom only torment is found :(

Ā So neatly well written and deliversĀ  a message for any inflicted.
I hear you Jill and for once loud and clear, for I've had it for years.
And the best way to describe it to those who haven't, is imagine two snakes in your head forever hissing at each other which sadly never goes away.
Top marks for writing and sharing your honest poem and feelings on the matter.
The only saving grace is when having a good time aroundĀ  family and friends, that is when you don't notice it.
Stay safe and I wish you well and all who suffer from it .
