Seasonal grief

Seasonal grief

The seasons of my heart are done.

I battled through them one by one.

The Autumn of you serving time,

endless months till you were mine.

Wishing 'pon a Harvest moon,

for time to fly and make it soon.

Winter froze me to the core.

my soul stripped bare upon the floor.

turmoil bubbling up inside.

my mind insane that you had died!

Spring brought forth a bud of hope,

a recognition I would cope.

A tiny glimpse of what may be,

a taster of the real me.

Summer was a glorious blaze,

of passionate nights and sultry days,

as I learned how to love once more,

to be adored, as I adore.

The seasons of my heart are done

and now I'm basking in the sun.
