Second time around🤣

All ready to run just like the wind, as a four legged hound

With one foot before another, poised upon the grassy ground

There was six long, lengthy laps of the track, that we would have to run around

Then that klaxon called, we all heard it loud and clear

But one of my running shoe laces had come loose, as I was left standing at the rear

Oh my goodness me, I hadn’t got time to fasten it..Oh dear

I had gone and blown it, I would be left well behind in my fear

Now I am a very competitive person. I do not race just for fun

I always give it all I’ve got, underneath that hot sizzling sun

So I shouted from the very depth of my lungs “STOP I NEED A RERUN OF THE STARTING GUN!!!”

And  haha, everybody turned around and went back to the beginning, my plan had worked..when all was said and done..
