~ Secrets From The Womb ~

~ Secrets From The Womb ~

I kiss the secrets of my youth
With an unexpected ease
A childish tear rolls down on me
As if to admonish my empathy
And I curl myself up, as if in the womb

Glistening mahogany, a sterile wood
My room, without the anger downstairs
Without the crazy moments of blood everywhere
Without the heavy silences or broken chairs
So, I curl myself up, as if misunderstood

I place my arm beneath the running water
The razor slices my skin, so smoothly, it opens
I pray the quick sting, will quell my emotions
Behold a floating fetus, in a pool of red lotion
And so I curl myself up, awaiting a slaughter

Potential am I, in a comfortable bed unborn
An amoebic resemblance, a quantum re-arranger
A lonely entity, entering a world even stranger
A slippery intruder, hiding from fear and danger
And so, I unravel, my umbilical cord
Scream, and then sing, hello to the world...

Being Me

What a write! Our scars are what makes us who we are. We shouldn't try to hide them. Someone who has suffered great pain becomes a great empath. This is such a personal piece and I admire you for writing it. Somethings need to be said.

This line really stood out for me personally because I know this feeling.

I pray the quick sting, will quell my emotions

There are many who dont understand why people self harm but when you are hurting sooo bad mentally you need a physical pain to balance it out...it's a sort of a quick fix.

Well done for writing such a deep and dark piece. I hope it helped getting it out x

My Dear Brother Tony,

This is an amazing metaphoric insight into the world of those tortured children who self harm.  Brilliant!!

I fantasize that I'm within the womb
So shielded from my pain and gloom
I live in darkness, but I feel secure
No anguish there, for me endure

.
But quickly then, I realize
The tears of frustration, within my eyes
I take a razor to my skin
My escape from reality, then begins

All my love,
Larry xxx

My Dear Tony,

As I have said before, your brilliant creations are the crafts that guide my pen.  As I ingest each verse, my mind forms an outline on how to respond to your powerful write.  Somehow, by the time I have read your last word, I am racing to record a proper summation.  I do not like to further embellish my comments, for I feel it is a form of plagiarism, my ideas riding on the crests of another's waves.

All my love,
Larry xxx
