SELF DESTRUCTION --- SLICING SILENCE

When it stings
it's the best letting yesterdays blade rest
Self-destruction comes with no guest
travels light for such a heavy fight

Alone in the dark
watching that last light fade again
I carve your name
hoping the blood will stain
laying in frozen time
wishing wells
skipping stones on smooth fake lakes
watching them sink
sealing this fate
drawing in snowbound pavements
a rescue is shot

just me and self-destruction
cowards in some gods plot
cast as a leaf
in  a forest on fire

Silence so empty
when the ghosts disappear
in the broken corners
bones are barking
youths muscle to tired
from stalking

Redesigning beads fall slow motion
from delicate surgical
conversations
edged across the grip of the tide
her name
SLOWLY
DRIP
DRIP
DRIPS
