Self Harm

A little cut
Tearing open my skin
Trying to overcome
The pain from within
Blood
Drip drip dripping
Rhythmically
Onto the floor
Bringing a little comfort
Thinking back to before
Before everything got complicated
Before life knocked me down
Before all of this self hatred
Before these eyes could look
Nowhere but the ground
A little cut
Turns into more
And after it all
I hate myself far more than before
