Like a flower plucked too early

Before it blossoms in the spring

Like a bee that’s lost all hope

If all these things did happen

Would life pan out just the same?

For a flower left to grow

It still withers up and dies

And a bee it won’t live long

For their sting’s the reason why

And a sea without a tide?

Well this I’m not quite ‘shore’

But a man without a gun

Would find other weapons for war

So these questions have no answers

It’s a complex life we live

But so hard to change the outcome

In a world that doesn’t give ...
