Sentinel

Sentinel

Thou shalt not pass to the glowing tree!
Though; for thee I do possess empathy.
Only one portal though may enter in,
If though art worthy and cleansed from sin.

At the end of the narrow way is where,
The Savior doth employ no servant there.
Art though written in His Book of Life?
Doth thou have part, with Bride Groom's wife?

For thy soul; I am compelled to assist,
Seek out the Spirit, and cease to resist!
Follow His promptings; to find the way,
Thou must leave this portal; without delay!

This sentinel forbidden to acquiesce,
Thou must withdraw! or suffer redress!

Sorry I'm late here Jim and thank you for writing something special and close to this poet's heart.
A compelling and insightful write and I hear you loud and clear on what you have expressed in your wonderful poem.
A good feeling dwells in me after reading and again thank you for instilling it.
Full honours, but it's not about the stars or pins it's about the honest heartfelt message presented and I wish you well for doing so.
