How is it that in a mere three lines you weep seventeen teardrops of absolute grief?? Is it the beauty of thought and feeling pressed into form?? Or is it the genuine feeling which went into the pressing??
My inspiration, aside from my own pain, is a very sad one. My Sister Melodee, my only sibling, who unbelievably was born on June 1, 1953, the same day of Queen Elizabeth's coronation, took her own life many years ago. I have tried to replicate myself into her soul, and feel the pain that she suffered. However, that was a long time ago, and being the "pseudo hedonist" that I am, would never expedite my own demise. Thank you so much for caring.
This Haiku was written for poor souls that no longer wish to go on. This ancient tradition, is a way of ending the pain, and finally finding peace. The tears cried in this Haiku are for them. You wiped mine away many months ago with words that have brought an eternal smile to my face.
Rest assured that this Haiku is not autobiographical. Although I do have pain, I was trying to feel that of someone who could take it no longer. I plan on being here for a long time, trying to "Wow" you with my works.
This is a brilliant Haiku sweetie that says so much for those that can`t see any other way of finding release from their pain. God bless your wonderful and loving heart.
