Poem -

September Sadness (9-11)

The Memories in our heart
Of those that are gone
Still linger with us
On the anniversary of the bomb

So much tragedy
So many lives lost
So many tears fallen
Such a high cost

Families so broken
From loved ones who died
They hung their heads sadly
Fell to their knees and cried

Terrorists so bitter
Filled with rage and hate
Their greatly misplaced feelings
Gave a sad name to this date

No one can change
the events of this day
Lives were still lost
No matter what we say

But, in silence we salute
And a hushed respect will fall
We pray for those we lost
And America did stand tall

Fight back with honor
And a vengeance so great
We still mourn this day
And that sad twist of fate
