Sesel*Lullaby Drumbeats for a Perfect Woman

Well,

He said.

After all,

The Perfect Man

asked for Perfection;

But was SHE really real?

And was she really the one

to love him and reveal the most

appealing apple of desire...

Or was it just greed and groans that woke them

up to a bliss all full of tears and cries and...

The Perfect Woman he'd been SO LONG dreaming of

had cast away the best and fondest of ALL his dreams;

And now, above are circling all around their hanging heads

the holy dove and holy spirit, mourning by their regrets;

For up to now, Perfection still is lying east of Eden. Park.

* Note: "Sesel" is the creole way to pronounce the name of one of the most idyllic Indian Ocean hideaways: the wonderful archipelago   of the Seychelles

This poem is built upon a core question,  expressed in verses 4, 5 and 6, as a tribute to a new poetry form, the "Questionku", created by a highly inspired friend of mine from Poetrysoup.com: Richard Lamoureux, from Canada. It derives from the japanese Haiku (3 verses 5-7-5); but the structure of the "Questionku" is: 3 verses 4-5-6, and verse 3 is a question, thus the name "Questionku" (a "Haiku" ending with a question).

To write my poem, I first wrote verses 4, 5 and 6 to set the core question; and then, I tried to re-write it in the scenery of a lyric drama, according to a particular structure... just for fun for CosmoFUNnel: 1 foot for verse 1; then, 2 feet for verse 2, 3 feet for verse 3 and so on...

So, just 4 fun 16 free verses 2013 and just 4 you, dear new CosmoFUNnel poet friends! Hope you enjoy!
