Shade Trees

In the still of the trees falls shade dreams
Where the sun does not touch
Where the flowers do not sow
Behind the stands the wind does not blow
Holding strong catching the breeze
Making tornados of leaves
In the still of the trees falls shade dreams
Collecting the cool damp arid plight
Crisp as the morning dew mist
Amidst the fail covering
Amidst the fail covering
Encompassing the shade dreams
Keeping them safe
For as one would fail for one
For as one would not for one
Behind the stands of it all
Around where the air does fall
Thanks be to the stands
Thanks for dream falls
What other than this could they go
To die and lie in the mist of the cold
In the still of the trees falls shade dreams
Dark as they ever were
Dark as they ever were
No callings for forever night
No callings for forever light
Standing the same as they did before
For more can the shade hold
For more can become cold
As cool as it was
No more than it could be
Standing still in the shade of the trees
