Shades

Shades

Paths to stay,
Paths to stray.
In a world so set on white or black,
It’s funny all we see is grey.
Justification for our moral incarceration,
Because it’s easy to follow
But is much harder to swallow
All of our greed and passion, ambition,
And remember every good deed needs not a price of admission.
Must we really benefit or gain
On the sufferings and pain
Of others?

For it’s easy to turn vice to virtue
Or arrogance into humility-
It simply requires no character.
