Shadow
 
The lucky few will meet a friend,
You’ll share each shadow cast.
But so cruel this lesson learned,
A bond impossible to last.
 
Each day in life we grow inside,
Some share the path together.
Never forget the simple rule,
That nothing lasts forever.
 
As close as twins we grew,
For me there was no other.
The hurt you leave me with,
To see you with another.
 
I wish nothing but happiness,
The future is yours to write.
My sunny days and shooting stars,
Will never shine as bright.
