The Shadow

The Shadow is always here. 

Sometimes it hides itself 

behind the darkness of other shadows

Though its steady gaze is never averted.

The Shadow is always there. 

Always it adorns itself 

with jewels of jealousy 

It longs for me to crave it 

as I do the light 

The Shadow is always near. 

Never does it let me to forget.

It lingers at the fringes of my 

dreams beckoning for me

The Shadow is forever.
