Shadow Girl

a teenagers life is in despair
she quietly almost silently wishes for help 
she goes days on without sleeping 
she looses touch of everything once known to her 
everything she hoped would be there when she needed 
but although her dreams and hopes never heeded
she was still there in the shadows of the night 
reaching for the light that was shining oh so bright 
but as soon as she touched it, it faded to a gray 
and then as she was about to disappear there was a guy named hope 
who made everything light and amazing 
he brought this kinda zing never felt before 
he brought the light she was searching for 
and thus she was brought from the shadows
