Shadows

The goddess cast a shadow, said don't fly too near the sun,
Icarus ignored but when both his wings fell off, it was done;
what did you dismiss, maybe there were signs all over the place,
in the shadows, on the wall, things you didn't want to face.
I love shadows, draw them on my wall, to a slanting degree,
maybe thirty or forty five as Louis Kahn liked them all to be;
look out your window, nature casts them so beautifully,
it hides love, which may be spiritually befitting of Sir T.
He came out, wings restored, now could fly to the moon,
would not be caught by foolishness or wax anytime soon;
we met, 'Hey Telboy - see, I came thro' it all just like you can,
'Believe in me, your tasks are before you, stand up, be a man.'
Daedalus and the goddess nodded, 'You told him, not me,'
be careful what shadows in your measly life blight mystery,
