shadows

look out my window

I see my shadows 

my demons are these shadows
which I will never slay

they want to go out and play
but they prefer the shade

will always have them to lean on
they are the voices in my head

people tell me to let go
I will never show

they look at me like I'm insane
these shadows are my friends

they take away my pain
I will never be sane

my only escape is the darkness
these shadows keep away reality 

they are always there
I'm never have no fear

these shadows I'll never slay
maybe I should let them out

So they can go play
with my darkness
