Poem -

Only yourself

Only yourself

Feeling like you can't escape

Escaping that day or night

You try to heal

But the scab keeps getting picked

Then being pulled open

At the slightest sign of healing

Blood dripping down

Down unto the pure white floor

You try to wipe it

But now the floor is now stained

From blood being forced out

Out by someone else picking the scab

You try to wrap it but there's no gauze

Only a wrinkled dirty paper

Try to keep it safe to finally heal

But the blood just seeps though

You try to run

to get away to get something new

New to help clean it

But you can't seem to move

You look down and your feet been nailed

You fall down to your knees

It now seems your stuck

Stuck to relive the nightmare again

Your heart is racing to the thought of it happening again

So your holding your breath

You close your eyes

Hoping that it was just a dream

You feel a stabbing pain from your chest

You look down and see a knife

A knife that came from the back

You don't see anyone around

You see your own hand on the handle

You try to take it out but it won't budge

You want to stop all this bleeding

But no one is helping

Thier just standing there staring

But staring into the abyss

You try to yell

Another hand covers your mouth

You just don't understand

You want help but yourself won't let you

You want to speak out

But afraid people will get hurt

Don't want to feel unworthy

Unworthy of boundaries

Of understanding of what happend

You stand up with all your might

You rip your feet out of the planks

Mind racing so fast it goes blank

Blood pouring out

As your tryin to leave

But leaving to go heal

Is leaving a red stain mark

A mark that'll be there forevermore

You finally get to the door

You reach the handle

You feel someone grabbing you

You look and see a black figure

That's dripping blood with a grin

You hear words saying never run

Or you'll be burned

You stop turning the handle

Then you turn around

You feel a pierce pain

From all this anxiety

You whisper no more

Not letting others make you feel low

Low for putting you self first

Doing what you need to do for yourself

You feel your throat tighten

Heart bursting out

You see the bleeding is slowing

You hear a voice yelling

Yelling no more

You realize it was you

The black shadow is now disappearing

You can't help to think

Think that all you needed

Needed to try to heal

Is time and yourself!
