I thought I loved you

I pined for years

Just a smile, an acknowlegement

That was enough for the moment

I feared you

I feared your ability to turn my heart to dust and crumble it beneath your feet if you ever knew

But for your rejection I am now grateful

You were right, it never would have worked

My life is blessed

I've found true love that accepts me and loves despite what I can be

Together we've created a flesh and blood momento of this dream we're living now
