Shallow Cuts Too Deep
it is what it is ..
All the self-inflicted
superficial
scratches on both
her arms
were each meant
to be special ..
A token gift for him
and a surprise ..
She got it all wrong
though,
going in too deep
like that ..
And had already
bled out,
long before
he had even read
her last text message ..
