Shamaoon's Prayer

~‘Shamaoon’s Prayer’~ is dedicated in loving tribute to my brother Shamaoon, who passed away peacefully on 28 September, 2007.

Though the years as children fluttered by
And time and space were then denied
I hoped and prayed for you dear brother
And I know you remembered our prayer
The Promise of New Life in Yeshua.

The suits you wore
Lovingly bought for you by our dear Papa  
For the gentleman in you that he saw,
And that I did too.

Your smile that touched the hearts of so many....
So much love to share....
I waited too long dear brother
The years were too few for Papa, me and you.

No other hope like Jesus was ever around
Not even our devoted Papa
So I know you will have remembered our prayer
To tell you of hope that is only, real and forever
And Jesus has ears to hold fast all that you asked.

I know you remembered our prayer, dear Shamaoon
And Father God heard it too.
I wonder what joy could ever be in Heaven
Than the love that God has for you.

I know you remembered our prayer, dear brother
In all your gentle humility
And I know Father God remembers it too.
So I thank God He has welcomed you into His Life
Forever there to shine His marvellous Light
Always there for you.
