Shattered

Shattered

A whisper, but a kiss forgot,
Love was young and easily sought.
A caress when warm fingers touch,
When verbal sparring is too much

Skin to skin, two restless hearts,
Seeking solace lest mayhem starts.
Aspiring before blood spills,
Onus comes of two clashing wills.

Just hold me, forget about pride,
We're all damaged, broken inside.
Rock me soft and offer me chills,
Make love tender before hurt kills.

Murder me with kindness I pray,
Resistance will meltΒ away.
Breathlessly, as another shoe drops,
Before a faulty heartbeat stops.
