Shattered Butterflies

Shattered Butterflies

One deep breath of what yet lies,
Dreams of shattered butterflies.
As like my reflection their wings are torn,
Gracefully they glide in grave, lonely mourn.
As blade's of silver glisten amongst the light,
Gaping scarlet stains on my wrist made right.
As beads begin to form as they trickle down,
My screams for relief produce echoing sounds.
A moonlit aura comically reflect my tears,
My poisoned memories fade with the fear's.
Alone in a darkness of unbearable pain,
I hear my demon's summoning my name.
Praying for the last of my cries,
I mumble so softly my suicidal lullaby.
Hush little soul hear what is said,
Fade ever so beautiful with your canvas of red.
Weep no longer in sorrow say your goodbye,
Spread wide your wings in a boundless sky.
My views of distortion that have tainted my mind,
My music box plays on the conscious one's left behind.
