She
For a really close friend

She sits in the corner,
And cries to herself,
The voice in her head does nothing to help,
She's screaming and shouting,
But nobody hears,
She's wounded and dying,
But nobody cares.
Her head held up high,
Fake smiles on her face,
She's wondering how much more time she can take,
If you push her,
She falls,
And crawls,
Then climbs up again.
But once she’ll collapse,
and all this will end.
It's just cause she's weak,
She's got no strength left,
From crying to screaming,
To dying and faking,
To wondering and crawling,
And climbing again.
It's hard to believe,
She lasted this long,
Bye bye to the girl,
We all once loved.

This is excellent work dear poet sister.....to me it's screaming out to be a song....It's VERY lyrical and has beautiful timing.....I think I recall saying something similar to you before.....you have a GREAT sense of poetic rhythm and timing!!…..the melancholy of this piece reminds me of Billie Holiday!!…..ALL STARS!!…..well done ANGEL!!…….LOVE & ROCKETS!!….T xo : )
