SHE BROKE THE CHAIN
Chains bind herĀ mind in a
trance of life`s realityĀ
Preoccupied thoughts of
deathĀ gloomĀ and morality
Insignificant pondering`s on
the what ifs and whysĀ
Circumstance`s uncontrollable
but unseen in herĀ eyesĀ
All those years Ā believingĀ she
was accountable,Ā held theĀ blame
Little did she know it was all
just a rues a no win game
But hey! look at her now happy
living,and enjoying lifeĀ in her own skin
She shed the paradigm of the victim
which was all downĀ to him
Now a survivorāāāāĀ of that life and in
newĀ relationships, no more unpredictable
She would be cautious to an extent but
will embrace life, no more the cynical
Confidant with this new found self esteem
to be the person she always was before
She`sĀ takenĀ back the reigns isĀ moving onwards
and upwards now withĀ much to explore
Yes thoseĀ chains are broken and severed
her mind now, isĀ as free as a bird
and she will loveĀ and trust again,for if
There Is a next time her voice Will!Ā be heard
