She Came 3rd In A Poetry Competition

She Came 3rd In A Poetry Competition

She came 3rd in a poetry competition,
So sourly said 3rd and 2nd are for losers.
Arrogantly dismissing the experienced judges,
And called them decrepit 4th rate choosers.

My poem is the best! So boastfully she cried,
This brat so selfish and so selfcentered.
But truth be told, it was just plain old crap,
And only two had entered.

Pratibha made up but  I dare say they might be out there, lurking with moody faces.... but there's always hope for change.
I gotta go but will catch up tomorrow on your latest and earlier poems,
Thank you for your kind and most generous comment and
take care and enjoy life and poetry too.
